I'm Allie Whitney, and I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Certified Health & Wellness Coach, and am a NARM-Informed Professional. I am the founder of Studio A Body Therapy, a local studio in the Indianapolis, Indiana area that provides specialized bodywork, education, and resources to heal from stress and trauma, and I also teach courses online (like this one!).
Basically, I'm an anatomy nerd with extensive training in how the body carries and expresses trauma, and I have an obsession with how engaging the body can be critical to resolving patterns in the nervous system that are the result of stress, difficult emotional experiences, and trauma.
I have received profound healing of my own complex trauma utilizing somatic (body-based) strategies, and have experienced first-hand the value of engaging the body in moving through big emotions to a resting point. Somatic interventions have provided lasting relief from the terrible feeling of being stuck on an emotional roller coaster with no way off.

I have been teaching the core curriculum that makes up The Emotional Resilience Roadmap in my local studio for years with great success (you can read some of the testimonials here), and am thrilled to expand the content and bring it online to a wider audience.Â

Upcoming Cohort Schedule

Live calls for this cohort will take place on:
 Thursdays, 7:30-8:30 pm ESTÂ
(Eastern Standard Time zone in the U.S.)
Pre-recorded videos for each week/module can be viewed at any point during the week depending on your schedule,
and the live weekly calls will be a time to discuss the content, answer questions, and deepen the learning via relevant somatic exercises.
A kick-off call will take place on Thursday, April 17, 7:30-8:30 pm EST to welcome participants, orient students to the learning portal, and answer any questions. We will then meet each week for a live call every Thursday at that time, with the final call on July 10.
You will have access to the material for as long as the program exists in its current form.
